I Am In The Pink Today!

Posted by Heidi in ,

Wow! I am tickled pink! Blogger's Annex has published an essay of mine! Since Blogger's Annex doesn't post everything that comes their way and only publish one post per day, it is really an honor to be chosen. I signed up with Blogger's Annex as an outlet for my more serious "stuff". I like my blog to be fun and light, but I sometimes have weightier things to say so keep that in mind should you click on the link to read my offering "A Letter to My Son".

Sorry, I don't know how to do Mr. Linky. Just click on this: http://www.bloggersannex.com/

While you are there, read some of the other wonderful postings on this site.

You're post on the AnneX was beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I do not understand your pain, but I can feel that you have it. And I also feel your gratitude.

(I can't access the AnneX due to computer problems.)

That letter was beautiful. Your son is blessed to have such a wonderful tribute that I truly believe at some point he will be able to comprehend (even if it's when he's with God).

Thanks Eowyn! Yes, there is pain and there is definitely gratitude. Jen, thank you, too! I know he will one day. I can wait.

You have taught me, too. I am so grateful for the Plan of Salvation. He will be whole, and he will know all you did for him and how you loved him!

Heidi, no wonder they published your post. It was beautiful and made me cry. Crying alone isn't any indication that it was good, but it was fabulous because it was heart felt and I believe, rang true to a lot of mothers...even if they don't have children with special needs. Though there is something unique about our kids who do, every child has a great capacity to teach, and we as their parents, have the opportunity to learn. Thanks for sending that letter in. I'm glad we were all able to read it.

Okay, now you guys are making ME cry!

Okay, so I was crying when I was writing it and someone from the bishopbric at church knocked on the door at the time. I am sure he could tell that I had been crying but I am pretty sure he must have assumed it was from humiliation at what a mess my house was. :S
