. . . you don’t worry about cleaning the tub since your kid is just going to get it dirty when he bathes
. . . you rate cooking right up there with having a root canal or a weekend at Aunt Mabel’s and her 39 cats
. . . . you find solace in piles of unfolded laundry (yum, soft and sweet smelling!)
. . . you find furry things in your fridge and just shut the door
. . . you smell a strange odor but don’t know where it’s coming from
. . . you smell a strange odor and don’t care where it’s coming from
. . . it’s been so long since you went shopping you are forced to switch the AA batteries from the TV remote to the VCR remote and vice versa every time you want to pause your DVD or turn up the volume (a common procedure amongst us oldsters)
. . . you would rather spend time rearranging the décor on your mantle than clean the house for the party looming in the near future
. . . you don't even feel like blogging and post a pathetic rerun in hopes nobody will notice.

How DOES she do it?
Anyway...I hope that you feel better, and don't worry about the fuzzy stuff in the fridge....once it's fuzzy it can stay there until garbage day.
I'm not sick - but I'm blaming the fuzzy stuff in the fridge on the fact that I'm a klutz... and now that my knee is out of commission for a few days I'm not about to bend over to clean any of it out :)
oh, and yeah - really hope your feeling better soon!
Hmmmm.....I didn't know I was sick! Guilty of all of the above...except the last of course.
I hope you feel better soon!
Awww, Heidi! I'll give you the same thing I gave L.T. when she was sick.
Here's a cup of virtual soup. c() That's the best I can do!
And I'm horrified to read that you have MICE in your fridge? That was the first thing that came to mind.
Get better quickly!
Feel better soon! Thinking healthy thoughts for you.
Sorry, the soup should have been like this:
c(_)
That's better. Holds more.
I hope you feel better soon, you poor thing.
I'm sorry you are feeling sick. Get better soon!
sorry i hate sick..:(
Heidi,
Drink up some of Rebecca's virtual soup (it's great!) and get feeling better soon!
Laura
The only thing cool about being sick is you don't have to put on makeup, wash your hair, get dressed.....so maybe that"strange" odor is coming from ..uh....dare I say, the one who is sick (he,he,he) Maybe you should eat some of the green fuzzy stuff...isn't that when it becomes like an anitbiotic or something??
Get some rest and get better soon! We miss you but would rather have you healthy.
I am with ya, sistah. Ear ache, congestion, sinus headache. Ugh. I am just sitting here wallowing in it, with my laptop of course. Get well soon!
Sorry you're feeling sick---that's never fun. But I bet your mantle looks pretty cool at least:)
Dang this time of year! I'm so sick of illness I can't even tell ya! Really wishing you a miraculous healing, just like you offered me! :)
I hope you are feeling better now. A little?
Thanks you guys! I am feeling a bit better today--I hope that doesn't mean I will be feeling worse tomorrow!
Hello, my name is Helen and I'm sick.
Isn't this a gathering of Sickies Anonymous?

You forgot:
...you smell a strange odor and it turns out it's coming from YOU! :)
Feel better, hon.
xo
ha ha ha! I love this post. I love fresh warm laundry toooooooo. high five. I've fallen asleep in it so many times.
I cracked up over the batteries. hee hee
I hope you feel better soon!
I hope your are feeling better soon. I am sorry you are sick. That is never fun. And about your last posting--I loved it, and so did my husband when I read it to him. He LOVES snickers and thinks snickers and chocolate milk is a balanced diet.
I didn't notice...hope you feel better soon :)
hhahah! totally guilty of seeing a fuzzy something in the fridge and instead of taking care of it, just close the door and step away and hope that magically it will take care of itself.
Over wrought, over worked, over done.... take a break, already! Get well!
Hope you feel better. I love the battery/remote thing...and I feel that way about the tub all the time!!
Yes, and we have to change the batteries because walking up to the actual t.v. and/or vcr and pushing the button on the actual t.v. or vcr would be too much work.
Heidi, I finished your book. I loved it. It is a very clever plot.
I'm with Lara, I must be sick and didn't know it because I am guilty of quite a few of those on the list. Like, I only clean the tub when I can visually see that it is dirty.
Oh dang. I hope you're doing better now! Cleaning the tub pretty much never happens here, so don't feel too bad :)
I can so relate. After weeks with all 8 of us taking turns with the flu, my youngest just came down with Roseola. Egad, will it ever end??
WOW...I must be sick everyday of MY life!!!
And I thought there was like something REALLY wrong with me! :)
NOW why is the Office NOT on yet?
I'm feeling for ya! Hope you feel better soon!
Ah,Heidi hope you feel better!
