It cost more in money, time, blood, sweat and tears than ever expected but HERE it is (thank you, Spouse, for being such a good sport). (Let's do another one soon!)

I'll Find A Way To You If It Kills Me

Provocative . . .

knowing that almost as soon as I write these words, you will be reading them

the chocolate and vanilla ice cream in the freezer

dwelling on thoughts that do me no favors

Addictive . . .
knowing that almost as soon as I write these words, you will be reading them
the chocolate and vanilla ice cream in the freezer
dwelling on thoughts that do me no favors

Tragic . . .

knowing that almost as soon as I write these words, you will be reading them

(but you're so far away)

the chocolate and vanilla ice cream in the freezer

(but far too close!)

dwelling on thoughts that do me no favors

(leaving me . . . nowhere)

Everything. Always just . . . over there.

When Does Love Reside in a Fistful of Metal?

When it comes on a chain full of charms that grant wishes . . .

strength . . .

acceptance . . .

and best of all . . .

Through blogging I have been able to connect with marvelous women who have granted me friendship, kindness, acceptance, love, compassion, empathy, courage, strength, opportunities and understanding through encouraging blog comments, blog posts, emails, Facebook love, phone calls (some of them looooonnnngggg ones), a wise sounding board, a shoulder to cry on, helpful books, the best ever gluten free chocolate cake mix, a trip to the beach, walks around the block, babysitting, pink sparkly flip-flops and prayers.
I love you.
Thank you for being my sisters in Zion.
(And thanks for the dragon bane. It's working already.)
See sidebar under Here There Be Dragons to make sense of the last photo.

Getting Back to Business . . . and Roses

Once upon a time there was a man who insisted that the world was green. There was another man who insisted that the world was blue. "It's green!" said the first man. "It's BLUE!" insisted the second man. As it turns out, the man who thought the world was green lived in the jungle. The man who knew the world was blue was up in a helicopter looking down at the jungle which appeared to him as a green dot in a vast sea of blue.
However, there is a third man in this story. He was an astronaut up in a space capsule who said, "The world is black with white stars and in the center, there is a blue/green/brown marble."

"Behold all ye that kindle fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks, walk in the light of your fire and in the sparks which ye have kindled. This ye shall have of mine hand---ye shall lie down in sorrow." Isaiah 50:11

Discuss (ummm .. .people aren't discussing. The above are some thoughts I plan to share during a talk at church. Does anyone see a connection between the story and the scripture verse? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?)

(I miss all of you and feel like a jerk for not reading blogs since school got out three weeks ago. There are things that have required my attention . . . but I'll be back!)
